Facebook keeps telling me that I haven’t posted here in awhile….I know! I miss paddling! Although I am only able to get out once a week right now I truly love this time of year for paddling. I call it the ‘Thickening’. You may not feel it as much on the big lakes but on the smaller lake around here you can almost feel the water thickening. It’s heavier on the blade, black and ominous. Everything is slowing down in the water and going deeper. It’s a great time to reflect and connect to every part of the stroke, water, rhythm and breath.

Hope you are all doing well and still getting out.

Like a few others in the group, I was happy to get out to do the triathlon. In most other years, cycling and running would have typically been my go to activities. This has no doubt been the summer of paddling..
Thanks to all and look forward to getting out to a SUP event or 2 next year.

Not to be a complete jerk, but didn’t this race close Sept. 30? If it’s still open I’d love to give it another shot 😜

Got in for the DW cup today. Not big open swell conditions like it’s meant to be, but definitely with the downwinder. 😂
Thanks to Canadian Paddle League for a great season of paddling. Thoroughly enjoyed! 🤙

Great season! Managed to finish everything in both SUP and OC1 right at the deadline. It meant some poor conditions due to time, but each one was memorable. Till next year! 🤙 ... See MoreSee Less

Lot of hard work

That’s amazing!!

Triathlon

So what do you do on a beautiful fall morning - a sunrise run, then paddle, then bike. The true ‘gift’ of this Tri - After 4 years without riding I’m finally cycling again and it feels awesome. That feeling of freedom you never really lose.
Thank you CDN Paddle League ❤️for putting this one out there and...putting me back on my bike!
