2000M Double Header

2000M double header with the Goat Boater crew on Lake Wylie, South Carolina.  Back to back sprints.  My second run handed me a sub 15 minutes.  I’ll take it and I’m happy with it.  Had a little chop, yet paddled a flat water, inland, lake.  Beautiful evening to be on the water with a great tribe of paddlers!

Canada Cup Crusher 🏄‍♀️

10K Canada Cup complete this morning!  Paddled Lake Wylie, SC (USA) with fellow Goat Boater Suzanne.  Decided we’d attempt to crush it this morning since the water was super glassy 🤘.  Pushed it pretty hard then made the open channel turn and ran into a decent head wind.  Slowed us down a bit.  Picked up speed on the flip side.  Decided to ride the 2021 Starboard Sprint 14’x21.5”.  Perfect choice for our flat water lake with no current.  Finished up with a decent average pace.  Garmin data –  https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9389470302

Double Decker Friday

After multiple failed attempts to complete both the 1000M and the Fastest 5 I was finally able to squeeze in time this morning to run both races back to back 🤪🏄‍♀️.  Made 3 attempts at the 1000M and still couldn’t catch up with Wendy 💪🤷🏼‍♀️🔥.  I’ll keep trying.  Paddled our inland, flat water lake with no current.  Pretty much zero wind today and a little boat chop.  Took a gamble and cheated on my Blackfish by heading out on the Starboard Sprint 14’x21” instead.  Not sure my time reflects the change up.  Nonetheless, of the 3 runs, my second lent me the best race with a total sprint time of 7 minutes 38 seconds.  Ran slightly over 1000M.

Paddled the 2 hour “Distance Challenge” twice.  First time out with a few paddle league friends.  Second time out was early this morning with my bestie.  At the start we had pretty decent calm, flat water.  By the end, winds picked up dramatically lending us a gusty morning on the water.  Was able to add a little over .81km to my total distance the 2nd time out.  Finished up with a total distance of 12.62Km.  Max effort was not exerted during this paddle 🤪🏄‍♀️💨.  Post paddle celebration with my little peanut (picture for attention).

Endurance Champ

Was really hoping to have an actual 12hrs of paddling completed for the endurance champ race yet I just couldn’t make it happen.  The most I was able to accomplish was 9.69 miles (15.59km).  My paddles were broken up into three different paddles.  The first paddle consisted of a local race of which I can honestly say is the best race I’ve ever had.  I came in 1st with a time of 1hr24min and a total distance of 6.8 miles (10.94km).  Was able to come out ahead of an amazing racer who is pretty much undefeated in our area.  Following the race a few of us headed out on a small cool down social paddle consisting of 1.27 miles (2.04km).  Later that evening The Goat Boater, Lake Wylie Paddleboarding hosted a paddle league social paddle and movie screening of “Last Known Coordinates,” which was AWESOME by the way!  The final paddle of the day lent me another 1.62 miles (2.6km).  The group was able to get a bit more paddling in yet I was zonked and cut my paddle off.  This brings me to my total of 15.59km.  All in all it was a pretty amazing day.  Plenty of flat water and hot air lol.  Not an easy feat for a small business owner and mother of two.  Good times, tons of stoke!
